This week on ATG we’ll pay our respects to the late-great percussionist Don Alias, marvel at the natural born chemistry of Paul Simon and Steve Gadd, dig Matt Wilson on the straight and narrow, Steve Coleman on the good foot, Billy Kilson on his Pots and Pans, and Paul Motian reading the riot act to Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano.

Welcome
This week's show is two and one half hours long, and includes 21 tracks and 28 drummers. Of particular importance are tracks from Sarah Hommel’s percussion ensemble, a 3-song tribute to percussionist Don Alias, a set of forsaken rock classics, and Jack DeJohnette in a live jam with Bill Frisell and a Roland percussion module. Also, if time allows, I’ll answer listener mail.
